Builds & writes the siteJack Shi builds and writes LEDask, an independent LED-lighting tools project operated by clooms. He designs the calculators, checks their formulas and reference values against published engineering data, and writes the guides and explanations you'll find across the site.
How the tools are kept accurate
- Calculator formulas use standard engineering equations (e.g. R = (Vs − Vf) / I, V = I × R).
- Reference values (copper resistance per 1000 ft, AWG sizes, LED forward voltages) are taken from published engineering data.
- Each tool states what it assumes and where results are estimates, so you can check the math yourself.
